Manure from broilers and turkey production facilities mixed with cellulosic bedding material that can be converted into energy–thermal, electrical or even liquid fuel. There is increasing interest in litter-to-energy options as an alternative energy source. At the same time, its use can also address environmental concerns associated with traditional land application of the litter.
