Oil Refineries

An installation that manufactures finished petroleum products from crude oil, natural gas, unfinished oils, other hydrocarbons and alcohol. Refined petroleum or oil products include, but are not limited to: gasolines, kerosene, distillate fuel oils, liquefied petroleum gas, asphalt, lubricating oils, diesel fuels, and residual fuels. Oil refineries are among the typical sources of point source pollution.
