Occupational Safety and Health Administration or OSHA

An organization that operates under the US Department of Labor whose focus is to ensure safe, healthy working conditions by setting and enforcing standards applied to working environments. The OSHA accomplishes its mandate by providing training, outreach, education and assistance to companies and workers concerned. The organization’s mission was set when US Congress passed the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970.
