National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health or NIOSH

The U.S. National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) is a federal agency that conducts research on occupational safety and health issues in order to make recommendations to the federal government about improving work environments. Among their recommendations: new standards for controlling toxic chemicals in the workplace, safety measures for preventing injuries, and providing healthy work environments free of pollution or conditions that could negatively impact human health.
