Logging

The practice of cutting down trees for timber to be used for various wood products or for forest management. Logging is considered a dangerous occupation. In the United States, it has consistently been one of the most hazardous industries. In 2008, the logging industry employed 86,000 workers, and accounted for 93 deaths.deforestation. As a global practice, logging poses environmental problems as well as it is responsible for deforestation, destruction of wildlife habitats, and produces greenhouse gas emissions that contribute to global warming.
