Jessica Bates is a freelance writer living and learning in Miami, FL. She holds degrees in both English and journalism.

In her undergraduate career, she worked on the editorial board of Steel Toe Books selecting full-length poetry manuscripts for publication. Jessica tweets and blogs, and she goes to the pool with a good book when she needs a break.

Due to her love of reading, compelling discussion, socializing and drinking wine, Jessica runs a book club for professional women in her area, which she takes very seriously. She's currently working on her first professional website to showcase her writing.
