		<description>The temperature problem with metal playground slides (which is pretty much the same in plastic slides) can be taken care of with shade trees, but what about the ridiculous amount of static electricity that builds up when sliding down a plastic slide?  Is there any work being done to reduce or eliminate that charge?  Personally, if I build my daughter a play set, it will probably have a metal slide because I don&#039;t think the plastic slides are as sturdy or as FUN as the metal slides.</description>
